In a unique initiative, the Principal of Prathmik Vidyalaya, Chitaipur, has provided 10 tablets, purchased with his own salary, to the students of his school in a bid to provide them digital learning tools.

The tablets were given to students by District Magistrate Rajendra Prasad at an event on Wednesday.

"Under the government scheme, QR codes are given on all textbooks. When scanned, the codes allow users to

read the solutions to problems of any chapter over a device," said Arvind Pal, Principal Prathmik Vidyalaya.

"Besides this, tablets also come with apps that help the student learn Hindi, English, Maths, etc," he added.

A student here told ANI that students here are able to learn easily through the medium of tablets and they are really enjoying exploring the device.

"The initiative taken by Arvind Pal is exemplary, we have such committed teachers in our district that he has dedicated his salary to the students. I feel so good," said DM Rajendra Prasad.
