EAMCET and ECET notification on Feb 27

Hyderabad: The notification for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) will be released on February 27 and candidates can apply from March 3.

To this effect, the first common entrance test committee met at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad on Monday and released the detailed schedule for EAMCET-2017.

As per the schedule, last date for submission of online application forms is April 3 and with a late fee of Rs 500 on April 12. Candidates can also submit their applications with a late fee of Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000 till April 21 and April 29, respectively.

Speaking to presspersons, Prof. T Papi Reddy, Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education said the EAMCET-2017 will not be applicable for MBBS and BDS courses and candidates who wish to appear for those courses have to appear



for NEET.

Candidates can download hall tickets from May 1 to 9. Examination will be held on May 12 and ranks will be declared on May 22.

Prof. Reddy further said that candidates will be allowed into the exam hall one hour before the commencement of test.

This year, 1.40 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the entrance test and 19 regional centers including three in Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh are being arranged, he said. The Hyderabad regional center has been divided into six zones for the facility of candidates.

“We will also talk to TSRTC for plying additional buses at free cost for the candidates who are appearing for the examination,” Reddy said, adding that Rs 500 is registration for general category and for SC/ST candidates it is Rs.250.
