The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is offering a paid internship for undergraduate and postgraduate students from engineering and science streams which is set to start on January 1, 2026.
The opportunity has been announced specifically for students with a strong academic background who are pursuing full-time courses at recognised Indian universities or institutes.
According to the guidelines, students currently enroled in engineering or science programmes at the graduate or postgraduate level can
apply, provided they have maintained an excellent academic record.
The last date to apply for the internship is December 15, 2025. DRDO has stated that different disciplines will be considered depending on the applicant’s level of study.
For undergraduate students, the internship is open in Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering. Postgraduate students can apply for the remote sensing and geoinformatics disciplines, both of which fall under the Defence Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE).
