CV Raman Global University announces Rs 5 Crore Scholarship for corona warriors children

After a barrage of backlash against the corona warrior, those who are performing their duties during lockdown - police officers, doctors, media persons, among others, CV Raman Global University (CGU) in Odisha came forward to appreciate their work by rewarding their children. The varsity has announced a scholarship of Rs 5 crore for the children of corona warrior and introduced specially reservation seats for them.

In a press release, President of the CV Raman Global University, Odisha, Sanjib Kumar Rout has announced that Special Reservation of seats will come into effect from the academic session



of 2020-21 in all the departments and branches of engineering and other professional courses.

He further explained that the idea of giving away a scholarship of Rs 5 crore to the children of corona warriors came from the staff of the university as they really value their services for the country.

Explaining the Special Reservation the CGU, Odisha President further added that a Special Management Committee has been formed to analyse the JEE ranks and other academic qualifications of the deserving applicants and facilitate the admissions for the wards of the 'Corona Fighters'.
