The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate programmes, earlier scheduled by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is postponed. As per the information gathered, an official announcement is likely to be made today. The CUET-UG 2025, and conducted under the charge of the National Testing Agency, shall now begin on the May 13, sources stated.
As per media reports, NTA has informed the University Grants Commission (UGC) of its inability to hold the examination as per the earlier
timetable.
A meeting between the two bodies is expected to take place today to determine a revised schedule. Once the meeting concludes, fresh dates shall be announced.
The delay is said to have occurred due to the agency’s recent focus on conducting the NEET-UG exam, which took place last Sunday. The CUET is conducted by the NTA on behalf of the UGC.
Owing to the delay, lakhs of candidates await updates, including the release of city intimation slips which provide information on exam centres and dates.
