The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the examination date for the February 2026 edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). While the detailed information bulletin is expected to be uploaded shortly, the Board has urged candidates to keep an eye on the official website, ctet.nic.in, for updates on registration dates, exam cities, and other relevant instructions.
According to the notice published on the CTET portal, the 21st edition of the CTET will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The exam will take place in 132 cities across India, and candidates will have the option
to appear in any of the 20 languages offered.
In its announcement, CBSE stated: “The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 21st Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 8th February, 2026 (Sunday). The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of the examination, syllabus, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website shortly.” The Board also advised aspirants to apply exclusively through ctet.nic.in and to go through the bulletin thoroughly before submitting the application form.
