Congress MLA issues notice to 180 Karnataka teachers over students learning gaps

Congress MLA Pradeep Eshwar has issued notices to 180 government-school teachers in Karnataka after finding several Class 7 students struggling with basic Kannada and mathematics.

The action followed a routine inspection in his constituency. Eshwar said some students were unable to



write the Kannada Varnamale, or letters, and Aksharamale. He also found students who could not solve basic addition and subtraction problems.

Describing the situation as shocking, the MLA said he had taken immediate action by issuing notices to the teachers concerned.
