The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an advisory on February 16, warning students, parents, and schools about the circulation of fake news ahead of the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations.

The exams are scheduled to commence from February 17, 2026.

The Board highlighted that in previous years, some individuals attempted to mislead students and parents by spreading misinformation on social media

platforms.

This included false claims about question paper leaks and circulation of purported board papers for Classes X and XII.

CBSE emphasised that stakeholders should remain vigilant and not engage with unverified news, rumours, or fake content.

Believing or forwarding such information can create unnecessary anxiety among students and may negatively impact their preparedness during this critical stage of their academic journey.
