The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for March 5 and March 6, 2026, in several Middle East countries following a review of the prevailing situation in the region.

In an official circular issued on March 3, 2026, the Board said the decision was taken after a critical assessment of conditions in --Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

“This is in continuation to the circular dated March 1, 2026. After a critical review of the current situation in parts of the Middle East, the Board has decided



to postpone the examinations scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026,” the notification said.

CBSE further stated that the revised dates for the postponed Class 10 and Class 12 examinations will be announced at a later stage.

The Board will review the situation again on March 5, 2026, and take appropriate decisions regarding the conduct of the examinations going forward.

Students appearing for the exams have been advised to remain in close contact with their respective schools for updates and to follow official CBSE announcements carefully.
