The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to launch free online teacher training programmes which will help teachers understand how they can gear up their teaching methods and get learning outcome returns.

The CBSE teacher training programmes will be totally free and teachers won’t have to pay any fee. Moreover, the teachers will get e-certificates after completing these online courses, CBSE informed in an official notification released on May 5.

The teacher training programmes will



be carried out by the many CBSE Centre of Excellences (CoE).

"It is clear that this pandemic has utterly disrupted an education system that many asserts was already losing its relevance," the official notification from CBSE said.

"Each Online Training session will be for one-hour duration; there will be no participation fee; e-certificate shall be issued to the participants; attending five sessions may be considered as one day of training as per Affiliation Byelaw," said the official CBSE notification.
