The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE Main) Result 2018 today (April 30). As per information from sources, the result for both JEE Main Paper I and Paper II (online and offline mode) is expected to be declared by today evening on the official websites - jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in

This year, around 14 lakh candidates took the JEE Main entrance examination to pursue higher education in technical courses. Candidates who have appeared for the JEE Main online and offline examination 2018 can check their result at the official website of the exam - jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in

Currently, the message on the official Results page of the CBSE Board says, "Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018- With Rank - Likely to be announced on 30th April 2018 (Both Paper I and Paper II)". However, exact timing of the JEE Main result is not mentioned on the website.

The JEE Main Exam is conducted every year for admission to various engineering and architecture courses in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes



(CFTIs) across the country. The exam is also an entrance examination for JEE Advanced. This year, JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Kanpur on May 20, 2018, in fully computer based test mode.

Top 2,24,000 candidates who clear the JEE Main 2018 examination will be considered qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018 examination. The JEE Advanced 2018 examination is conducted for admission to IITs.

The CBSE will release the JEE main 2018 result along with the mark on the official results website of the Board - cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in.

Here's how to check the JEE Main Examination result 2018

1) Go to the official websites of JEE Main - jeemain.nic.in or Results website of CBSE - cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in
2) On homepage, you will find link for JEE Main Exam Results 2018, click on it
3) You will be redirected to results page
4) Enter your JEE Main registration number / roll number, name and date of birth. Click on submit
5) Your JEE Main result will be displayed online on the screen of your computer/mobile
6) Download and take a printout of your JEE Main result for future reference
