CBSE invites applications for Class 10 single girl child scholarship

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online applications for its Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship scheme for 2025. The initiative aims to promote girl education and provide financial support to meritorious students who have passed the Class 10 CBSE examination.

The scheme is designed to encourage the education of girls while recognising the efforts of parents.

Applications must be submitted online, and the deadline to apply is October 23, 2025. Schools where the students are currently enroled are responsible for verifying the



applications.

The scholarships are available under two categories. The first is the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025, meant for students who cleared Class 10 this year and are now pursuing Class 11 in CBSE-affiliated schools.

The second is for the renewal of scholarships awarded in 2024, intended for students who had already received the benefit last year and are continuing their education in Class 12.

Incomplete or unverified applications will not be accepted. Parents are also required to upload a self-declaration of income on notarised stamp paper along with a verified fee slip.
