The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released new instructions for the registration of Class 9 and Class 11 students for the 2025-26 academic year. Schools affiliated with the Board are required to complete the process online via the Pariksha Sangam portal, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in student details.

According to CBSE, registration plays a vital role as it forms the basis for students’ eligibility in the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. Schools have been directed to ensure that only genuine students are registered and that

names, dates of birth, and subject selections are submitted without errors.

Two Board Exams for Class 10: Beginning 2026, students will face two board examinations annually, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Mandatory APAAR ID: Linking students’ APAAR IDs is now compulsory during the registration process.

Verification Window: Once registration closes, schools must generate a verification slip for each student. Any corrections will only be permitted between November 14 and November 28, 2025.
