The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has postponed the Class 12 board examinations scheduled between March 9 and March 16 in several Middle Eastern countries, bringing relief to students studying in the Gulf region.
The decision comes amid escalating tensions linked to the US-Israel-Iran war, with the board prioritising student safety while closely monitoring the evolving situation
in the region.
CBSE had issued a circular earlier in the day notifying that the board exams had been postponed from March 9 to 11. Now, the dates have been extended to March 16.
According to an official CBSE circular issued on March 7, the board will reassess the situation on March 10 before taking a call on examinations scheduled from March 12 onwards.
