CBSE Class 10, 12 private candidate registration date likely by month-end

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet announced the dates for submitting examination forms for private candidates appearing in the Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027.

The board’s examination circular page, updated on September 18, currently lists the September 10 notification regarding prior intimation for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2026-27 academic session. However, the notification



for private candidates has not been released.

For the 2026 board examinations, CBSE issued notifications for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates on September 8, 2025. The application process began on September 9.

The notification covered candidates in different categories, including those marked ‘Essential Repeat’, compartment candidates and students seeking improvement in one or more subjects.
