CBSE asks schools to submit 2026 board exam candidate list by September 30

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued fresh guidelines for schools regarding the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2025-26 board examinations. Schools have been asked to complete the process by September 30, 2025, for both Class 12 and the newly introduced first board



examination for Class 10, which will be conducted in mid-February 2026.

This marks the first time that CBSE will conduct two board exams for Class 10 in an academic session. According to the board, every student in Class 10 must be included in the LOC to be eligible to sit for the exams.
