Several candidates have complained that they have received calls from people claiming to be NTA officials and offering to manipulate the NEET 2020 OMR sheets to grant admissions in the colleges of the students’ choice.

The National Testing Agency has come forward and made it clear that these calls are completely false and unscrupulous. NTA issued an official notice on its website where it addressed all the complaints made by students.

In the notice, NTA has said that it has received complaints where callers are “posing as NTA staff or representatives with false assurances to arrange admission in medical colleges through unfair means” and if a student receives such calls, they should file “a formal complaint with local police against such calls.”

NTA has also denied links with any such organisation which grants admissions to students

who appeared for the NEET exam through unfair means. It has also made it clear that NTA does not participate in the manipulations of the OMR sheets.

The National Testing Agency has also written in their official released that NTA official has no role in the admission process of any students who have given the exam and no communication regarding the result can be made yet.

The agency said, “NTA does not have access to the phone number or email of candidates hence question of any association of officials of NTA with any such unscrupulous elements or their arrangement in any such activity does not arise.”

“No communication is/can be done by NTA regarding anyone’s result or rank at this point in time,” the release stated. It was further mentioned that NTA has no role in the process of admission to any medical college in the country or abroad.
