The Education Department of Bihar has reopened the colleges and universities in the state from yesterday, February 17, for the resumption of physical classes after being shut down for 11 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.


The Bihar government has also issued a list of safety protocols to all the higher educational institutes for the safe resumption of classes in the state. All universities and colleges have been instructed to follow the Covid-19 safety guidelines strictly.

Covid-19 guidelines was also released by the government in a notification issued by Bihar State Director of higher education Rekha Kumari. As per the guidelines, the classes for university and college students have resumes with only 50 percent strength.


The government of Bihar had resumed the classes for students of final year undergraduate and postgraduate courses, following the success of which, it was decided to reopen the colleges for the rest of the students with several Covid-19 guidelines.
