Australia’s Macquarie University has announced a major scholarship opportunity for Indian students through its Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
The programme will benefit both undergraduate and postgraduate aspirants beginning their studies at the university, offering tuition fee rebates of up to AUD 50,000 for high-achieving candidates.
Under this initiative, students can receive up to AUD 40,000 through the India Early Acceptance Scholarship, along with an additional AUD 10,000 from the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
Together, these scholarships aim to ease financial pressure on students while rewarding academic excellence and ambition.
According to the university, the scholarships are open to all
Indian citizens enroling in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees (excluding Graduate Certificates).
Applicants must accept their Letter of Offer and pay the commencement fee by the specified deadline.
Students are required to remain enroled in every compulsory study period and must not receive any full-tuition government sponsorship or external scholarship, unless approved by the Macquarie University Scholarship Team.
For eligibility, postgraduate applicants must have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65, while undergraduate students must hold an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) equivalent of 85.
Students must also begin their course in the session and year mentioned in their scholarship offer letter.
