Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has decided to conduct General Studies paper both in Telugu and English versions for the recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil Engineering) posts scheduled on September 20.

The decision of the Commission comes in wake of large candidates particularly from the rural background made representations to the Commission to conduct in Telugu and English versions.

The question paper of General Studies would be translated into the Telugu version and the English version will be considered as an authentic version for valuation purpose, said the Commission in a release on Friday.

The candidates have to choose either Telugu or English language to answer General Studies paper. The Commission made it clear that civil engineering paper would be held in English only.

According to the release, the Commission made elaborate arrangements for conducting the computer based recruitment test. The online test would be held at 99 test centres located in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal



and Khammam districts.

The candidates were advised to reach exam centres between 8.30 am and 9.15 am for the morning session and between 1.15 pm to 1.45 pm for afternoon session to complete the registration, verification and other formalities.

It further said that TS Transco would provide uninterrupted power supply during the conduct of examination and TS RTC would ply special buses for the convenience of the candidates.

The Commission said it had established a command centre at TSPSC office to monitor the process of the conduct of examination in all the test centres. The test would also be monitored by the respective district Collectors and necessary security arrangements were made by the police authorities.

About 1,600 invigilators, 1,050 supporting staff and about 250 observers were appointed to oversee the smooth conduct of examination, it said. “TSPSC has deployed 29 special squads each consisting of two members by utilising the services of senior professors and government college lecturers to monitor the exam,” the release stated.
