The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be donating Rs 21 lakh to the PM CARES Fund to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The amount comes from CBSE employees who voluntarily came forward to donate their salaries to fight the Coronavirus pandemic.

As per a CBSE statement, Group A employees have donated 2 days’ salary while Group B and Group C employees have donated one day’s salary to



add to the government’s efforts against Covid-19 by contributing to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund).

CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said in the statement: "The country is facing Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic of unprecedented magnitude posing serious threat to the health, life and economic security of millions of people in the Country.
