Jun 11, 2015 NEW DELHI (Agency) Two archers who used their skills to break open car windows and steal its belongings were arrested in Dwarka on Tuesday. The duo was involved in more than 100 cases of robberies in parts of south Delhi and NCR, police said.Police have recovered 24 laptops, a Maruti Swift car, 160 iron pellets, and a catapult from their possession. One of the accused had even bought an apartment using the stolen money.Michel (24) and Vikram (22) had come to Delhi from Tamil Nadu with their parents and had married each other's sisters. To improve their economic condition, Michel, a trained archer, decided to use his skills to steal from cars. Along



with Vikram, he would smash the windows of cars parked at a distance using iron balls taken out of ball bearings. They would then wait to see if anyone had heard the noise. If no one approached the vehicle, they would steal the goods kept in the car and flee on a bike, police said.Michel bought an apartment in Uttam Nagar using the looted money and Vikram lived in a rented flat in Madangir in southeast Delhi."Michel was a trained archer who had even enrolled himself for a national championship but had to opt out due to financial constraints. He and Vikram were held by a team led by inspector Raj Kumar who chased and nabbed them near Kargil Chowk in Dwarka," said DCP
