New Delhi: Two people were killed in a firing at Central Delhi's Rajender Nagar on Thursday morning. One of the victims was a witness in a court case and police suspects the involvement of soemeone related to that case.

According to police, the incident took place around 9:30 a.m. at Shankar Road in Rajender Nagar when the victims had come to have their morning tea.

“Victims identified as Ram Charan and Lakhan are both labourers. They used to come for their morning tea at Shankar Road everyday. On



Thursday morning when they came, three people on a bike opened fire at them,” a police officer said. They were rushed to the nearby hospital where they were declared dead upon arrival, he added.

Ram Charan was a witness in one of the cases in Tis Hazari court and police suspects the involvement of someone involved in the court case behind the incident.

A case in this connection has been registered and investigation has been taken up. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
