Two drug peddlers held with 106kg of marijuana in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Special Operations Team on Tuesday nabbed two drug peddlers from Visakhapatnam on charges of illegal possession and transportation of marijuana here on Tuesday.

Officials seized 106 kg of marijuana, a car and other material, all put together worth Rs 15 lakh from them.

The arrested persons were M.Ganesh and P.Sai, both from Golagonda, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. One suspect, Ramprasad from



Narsipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, was absconding.

Police said Ganesh had procured the drug from agency areas in Narsipatnam at cheaper rates and sold them to drug peddlers in Hyderabad at higher rates with the help of Sai.

Ramprasad on receiving orders, supplied marijuana to customers through his agents Ganesh and Sai on a commission basis. The SOT caught the duo at Choutuppal while they were transporting the drug concealed in their car.
