A three-member gang which allegedly duped several people on the pretext of arranging jobs in the Panchayat Raj Department was caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (North) on Saturday. Fake appointment orders, Rs 8.85 lakh and other documents were seized from the arrested.

The arrested persons were identified as Arandkar Raj Kumar (42), of Warangal, Arror Veeramani (47) and Chinchenti Pandu (33), both of Vikarabad. According to the police, Raj

Kumar, who worked as a superintendent in the Panchayat Raj Department, was now under suspension, and teamed up with the other two and lured jobseekers, convincing them that they could get them jobs in the department.

“They collected Rs 1.27 crore from around 25 persons on the pretext of arranging jobs. They then handed fake appointment orders over to them,” DCP (Task Force) P Radha Kishan Rao said. Two cases were registered against them in Meerpet and Punjagutta.
