TDP ticket aspirant attempts suicide

After reportedly denied a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) ticket for contesting the GHMC elections, a person attempted to commit suicide in front of TDP MLA and Greater Hyderabad party president Maganti Gopinath's office at Jubilee Hills on Sunday.

The person who attempted suicide by consuming pesticide was later identified as Mustaq Sharif.



He was immediately rushed to Care Hospital and reported to be out of danger. Alleging that TDP leadership cheated him by not fulfilling the promise of offering him corporator ticket, Mushtaq attempted suicide before the legislator's office. The onlookers, however, have stopped the person from taking the extreme step and shifted him to the hospital.
