Sub Inspector shoots himself to death in Siddipet

​The ​Kukunurpally​ ​S​ub-inspector Prabhakar Reddy​ allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with ​his ​service revolver ​in his official quarter​s ​in Kukunurpally in Siddipet district on Wednesday.

The 2012 batch Sub-inspector was reportedly depressed since he was denied leave ​to ​be with his wife at the time of her delivery two months ago. Reddy, a native of Tabgutur village of Aler mandal in



Yadadri-Bhongir district, ​is survived by his wife and ​a ​two​-​month​-​old son.

​Incidentally, Prabhakar Reddy’s death ​comes exactly 10 months after his predecessor, Ramakrishna Reddy died under similar circumstances in August​ last.

The body was shifted to Siddipet for postmortem. A case has been registered​ and investigation is on​, police said.
