Student shot dead in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, April 01, 2015 (Agencies) In a gruesome incident, an 18-year old PU student was shot dead by a school attendant last night at Pragati School in Kadugodi, Bengaluru, as per TV reports.

The deceased has been identified as Gauthami who hailed from Tumukur. Gauthami stayed at the school hostel. The accused school attendant is 30-year-old Mahesh who is absconding. The attacker had also tried to attack Gauthami's friend Shirisha. Injured Shirihsa has been hospitalised.

Police has launched a manhunt for nabbing the



accused.

Recently, a second-year pre-university student died on the spot when a BMTC bus ran over him in Kamakshipalya on Monday morning.

Bhargav, 18, a resident of Ranganathpura in Kaverinagar, was riding home after visiting a dry cleaner’s around 6.30 am. The driver could not control the bus and rear-ended Bhargav’s bike in front of Dhananjaya Palace, a wedding hall. 

Bhargav was flung into the air, and came under the front wheel of the bus. He bled to instant death.
