A 26-year-old Somalian national was allegedly murdered by his compatriot and the latter’s girlfriend at P&T Colony in Rajendranagar in the early hours of Wednesday. There were disputes between the two over sharing accommodation.

Cyberabad assistant commissioner of police (Rajendranagar Division) P Ashok said Basheer alias Rashes was stabbed with a kitchen knife by his compatriot Abdullah Musa in the presence of the latter’s girlfriend Lisa, who is from Mizoram. Three days ago, Basheer was thrown out of the house rented by Musa at P&T Colony.

Around 10.30pm on Tuesday, Basheer and Musa had an argument over the issue. After some time, Basheer left the house. Later, he returned between 12.30am and 1am on Wednesday. It further annoyed Musa and Lisa. Musa took a knife and stabbed Basheer on his, while Lisa



provoked him. Basheer came running out of the building and requested passersby on the road ``help me, call police’’. The locals, however, did not understand what Basheer was talking. After 30 minutes, a profusely bleeding Basheer died on the road, more or less coinciding with the arrival of a police patrol vehicle.

Musa, a BCA final year student of Nizam College, and his girlfriend were taken into custody. The victim was reportedly known for quarrelling with those he was sharing accommodation. Police seized ganja from the house. Rajendranagar police registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of IPC and intimated the Somalia Embassy.

Rajendra Nagar Police have decided to enumerate foreign nationals residing in their area, especially in P&T Colony.
