Seven die of suffocation while cleaning hotel sewer near Vadodara

Gujarat: Seven people, including four sanitary sweepers, died on Saturday while cleaning a sewer line at a hotel near Vadodara. The police have registered a case.

As per information available, three of the victims used to work at Darshan



Hotel, while the others were hired to clean the sewer line and septic tank. The hotel owner has gone into hiding after the incident.

The workers likely died of asphyxiation. However, the police have not stated the exact cause of the deaths.
