Hyderabad: A mother and daughter were stabbed to death, allegedly over a property dispute, at Tallakunta in Chandrayangutta here on Friday.

The suspect Rehman, a labourer allegedly stabbed to death his sister-in-law Fareeda Begum (32) and her mother Shehzadi Begum (60) at their house, reportedly after money matters, related to the sale of a property recently, led to frequent disputes in the family.

According to the police, following the disputes, Rehman bore grudge against the victims and decided to eliminate them. As per his plan, he came to their house around 9 am armed with a knife and attacked

them.

“They had just woken up then and he barged into their house. He picked up an argument with them over the property issue after which he took out the knife and stabbed them one after the other repeatedly,” police said, adding both women died on the spot.

Fareeda Begum’s two daughters, who are studying in a private school nearby, had gone to school when the incident occurred. The neighbours informed the Chandrayangutta police who shifted the bodies to the Osmania General Hospital morgue, from where they were later handed over to the family after autopsy.
