Minor girl raped by neighbour in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 14-year-old minor girl was raped by her neighbour on Thursday, Medipally inspector P. Saidulu said on Friday. Police said the accused, Balaraju, 24, had been stalking the victim on her way to school and back, claiming that he wanted to marry her. On Thursday morning, he lured her to his friend's house, allegedly raped her, and threatened her against informing anyone about the incident.

The school noticed that the girl had not turned up, and notified her parents. After



searching for her, the parents lodged a missing complaint with the Medipally police.

Meanwhile, Balaraju freed the victim who made her way home. Her mother noticed her condition and questioned her closely. The victim then narrated the ordeal she went through. The victim's parents approached the Medipally police again, this time with a complaint of rape. 

Police arrested Balaraju and secured his remand.
