Man murdered in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A man was murdered by his friend’s husband who allegedly suspected their relationship, at Chaitanyapuri here late on Monday.

The victim, K Praneeth Reddy (25), is an agriculturist from Machnoor of Sangareddy. Praneeth and Jyothi, a resident of Balaji Nagar in Mohan Nagar, were childhood friends and studied together in school. Jyothi got married and was living with her husband, Ravi, and a one-year-old-son. Ravi returned home at 12.30 pm and found Praneeth and Jyothi together in the house



and picked up a fight with the former suspecting they were having an extra-marital affair. He abused and assaulted him.

“He then took an iron object covered in a towel and banged on Praneeth’s head. He died on the spot,” police said.

The Chaitanyapuri police booked a case of murder. No arrests were made yet. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital morgue and later handed over to the family after an autopsy on Tuesday.
