Gold worth Rs.22 lakh seized at Hyderabad airport

Customs officials of the Air Intelligence Unit at RGIA nabbed two passengers and seized 784 grams of gold worth Rs. 22.54 lakh from them. The passenger arrived on Emirates flight from Chicago via Dubai. He was carrying 385 grams of

gold worth Rs.11.09 lakh by converting them into bracelets, officials said.

In another case, a passenger from Sharjah was carrying 399 grams of gold in the form of three bracelets, the official added.
