Gold seized near Charminar in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Gold bars weighing 1702 grams worth Rs. 66.64 lakh were seized from a person at Charminar by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials here on Wednesday.

The person, according to the DRI officials, was carrying



the gold bars in a bag along with him and arrived in Hyderabad by bus from another city. The gold bars were seized and the person was arrested under the provisions of Customs Act 1962. Further investigation is in progress, a press release issued by DRI stated.
