Ghaziabad: Enraged over father’s abusive nature, a minor girl (16) thrashed her father to death with a grinding stone in Madhuban Bapudham area on September 3. Her father used to beat up her mother with a belt, police said.

The teenager has been sent to a juvenile home, while her mother has been arrested and is in police custody. They have been booked for murder, TOI reported.

The deceased (42) was an owner of a jewellery shop in Greater Noida and lived with his wife (38), daughter and two sons at Sanjay Nagar in Sector 23 of Madhuban Bapudham.

A police team patrolling in Nehru Nagar – around 1.5km from the family’s house – found a car parked near a school in the area.
“When they went to check, the team found the man’s body on the back seat of the Wagon R car, which also had the key left inside it. They took the body to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had died,” said Munesh Kumar, SHO of the Madhuban Bapudham police station.

Police later identified the body and

started the investigation. During the probe, they found blood stains next to the stairs on the ground floor. They also retrieved some blood-stained clothes apparently belonging to the man and the stone allegedly used to kill him.

Certain that the murder had taken place inside the house, the police team took his wife and his daughter into custody.

“During the interrogation, the woman told investigators that he was having an affair with another woman, and used to regularly thrash her including the children,” Kumar said.

The woman told the police that during scuffle on the fateful day, her daughter tried to intervene and in the fit of rage the incident occurred. The couple’s sons were at home when the incident took place, police said.

The teenager, according to police, had learnt to drive a car through YouTube videos. “The mother and daughter carried the body to their WagonR. Then the 16-year-old drove to Nehru Nagar and left the car there. She later walked back home,” the SHO added.
