Girl gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh

In yet another horrific incident, a class IX student was allegedly abducted and gang-raped in Loni police station area in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anil Yadav, the girl, aged around 14 years, was abducted and raped by the two 19-year-old youths on November 9 after they made her consume sedative-laced soft drink.

sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">An FIR was registered after the girl’s father approached the police on Thursday. The case is files under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, Yadav said.

The accused duo has been arrested and sent to jail, he said. He also informed that the victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital and will be discharged soon, he said.
