Foreign currency worth more than Rs.1.02 crore was detected at the international departure terminal of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here during a random machine based profiling of passengers on Wednesday.

A CISF Sub-Inspector Varun Kumar was screening baggages of passengers when he apprehended an Indian passenger Mohammed Parvaz with different foreign



currencies.

The passenger was about to fly to Dubai when the currency was seized. The passenger along with foreign currency was handed over to Customs officials.

Senior CISF officers appreciated the Sub-Inspector for his honesty and dedication.

The seized currency included those of Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi, Omani and Bahrain.
