Elderly woman hacked to death by son for refusing to give money for liquor in Tamil Nadu:

Madurai : In yet another shocking incident reported from Tamil Nadu's Madurai, an elderly woman was killed by her son as she refused to give him money for liquor.

The shocking incident took place on Wednesday and the deceased has been identified as M Periyamayee (70) and was a resident of Kodanginayakanpatti in Madurai district.

A thorough probe into the case revealed that the woman was the mother of two sons and two daughters. One of her sons, identified as M



Ramesh, was unmarried and suffering from epilepsy. Ramesh was addicted to alcohol and often landed up in an argument with his mother, as per the Times of India report.

Woman refused to give money

It was on Wednesday when Ramesh asked for money from his mother to buy liquor. However, when the woman refused to listen to him, he trampled her to death, as per the information provided by the cops. Following this incident, a case has been lodged and the accused has been arrested.
