Hyderabad, March 12, 2015 (Agencies) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 9 kg gold, worth Rs 2.39 crore, from an aircraft which landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from Delhi at Shamshabad here.

Based on a specific intelligence inputs, the DRI officers thwarted the attempt



to smuggle gold into the country when they made a seizure of unclaimed gold weighing 9 kg on Tuesday night from a private aircraft arriving from Delhi to Hyderabad, said DRI's Additional Director M K Singh.  The aircraft was earlier on an international run from Dubai to Ahmedabad, he said.
