CRPF jawan dies as rifle goes off accidentally

Visakhapatnam: A jawan from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died when the rifle he was cleaning went off accidentally, at G.K. Veedhi Police Station, in the agency area of Visakhapatnam District on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ajay Kumar, a



native of Moradabad, in Uttar Pradesh.

According Narsipatnam Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Vishal Gunni, the jawan was from the 42nd CRPF Battalion, Rajahmundry and was posted in the agency area for anti-Maoist operation.
