One more person dies in Jeedimetla stabbing case

Venkatesh (30), who was injured after he was stabbed by his brothers-in-law on Thursday night, died while under treatment on Friday night. The Jeedimetla police arrested three persons in connection with the double murder on Saturday.

According to the police, Venkatesh, a painter was married to Rekha and they had two children.

Venkatesh often went home drunk and argued with Rekha. On Thursday too, the couple argued, after



which Rekha left to her parents’ house in Uppal and told her brothers, Vinay and Madhu, about the harassment by Venkatesh.

The two brothers, allegedly in an inebriated condition, caught Venkatesh at Subhash Nagar and stabbed him. His cousin Pothuraju (29), who intervened, was stabbed to death on the spot. Venkatesh, was shifted to the hospital, where he died on Friday night.

Police have arrested trio Vinay, Madhu and Rekha.
