Hyderabad: Bowenpally police arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly killing his wife.

The accused, Kummari Laxman, 50, is a marketing executive of a private firm. The deceased woman was identified as 49-year-old Kummari Beena, also known as Bibiyana.

Laxman is accused of strangling her with a cable cord on Tuesday afternoon.

Laxman and Beena had married in 1994. They were living on rent in 



Friends Colony.

Beena reportedly used to quarrel a lot with the house owner.

Further, she is believed to have often threatened Laxman with dire consequences while arguing on petty matters.

On Tuesday, the couple reportedly had an argument, following which Laxman killed her and ran away from his home, only to be arrested by the police later.
