Half kilo gold seized at RGIA

A passenger carrying half a kg of gold was caught by the Customs Officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here on Sunday. The passenger Mohammed Kolikulam Mujib ur Rahman, a native of Kerala holding the United Arab Emirates passport, has come to Shamshabad in an Etihad flight from Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi at 3.10 am and reached Shamshabad at 8.45 am on Sunday. During the routine scanning check, the officials identified several foils of gold concealed under the clothes in a bag. The passenger was detained and the gold foils weighing about half a kg valued about Rs 15 lakh has been seized, said Customs ACP N Priyanka.
