Class 11 girl was allegedly raped by four engineering students in Kanpur

A Class 11 girl was allegedly gang-raped by four engineering students, and then dumped near Kanpur’s Babupurwa police station in an unconscious state, police said. The girl is a minor.

The victim’s father, a serving police inspector, has lodged a complaint against Anurag Yadav and his three friends, Jackie, Shubham and Abhishek. All four are B Tech students from different colleges.

Superintendent of Police West Sanjiv Sumar said



all the four accused are being interrogated. The girl knew one of the accused who coaxed her into visiting him at a flat in the city’s Kakadeo area on Tuesday where she was raped.

The accused then took her in a car and dumped her near Babupurwa police station, said police.When the victim regained conscious she told the police about her ordeal. SSP Anant Deo said,“the accused will formally be arrested after the preliminary inquiry concludes.”
