Car hits farmer and drags body up to 30 km

 In a tragic incident, a farmer died on the spot on being hit by a car while he was crossing the road at Sri Sai Akanksha Filling Station near Narketpally on Saturday.



13pt;">            Farmer Venkat Reddy (65) of Edavalli village was trying to cross the road. The farmer fell on the top of the car when it hit him. The car driver sped fast towards Vijaywada and failed to realize that a farmer had fallen on his car. The car proceeded for 30km dragging the body on the top of the car. While observing the body on the car, the passers by stopped the car and found Venkat Reddy dead. The irate people beat the driver severely and handed him over to police.

They alleged that the farmer died due to the negligence of the car driver. The police arrested two persons traveling in the car with registration number AP09BY2725 proceeding towards Vijayawada from Hyderabad.
