Noida: On July 3, three unidentified men allegedly fled away with the BMW car of a businessman in the early hours near Noida's Sector 76 metro station. The shocking incident took place when one of the directors of the Pinnacle Infrarealty Pvt Ltd was returning home after dropping a friend.

According to the report, the victim has been identified as Amandeep Singh who also owns a restaurant chain in Noida and was returning from Sector 78's Mahagun Moderne society.

A visit to his friend's place became a nightmare for the businessman, when he stopped to urinate near Salarpur drain, a few metres away from the metro station. As per the report, when he returned to his cark, three men arrived at the spot and one of them held him at gunpoint.

Singh has filed a police complaint at Sector 49 police station against unknown assailants under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 392 (punishment for committing the offence of robbery).

In his police complaint, Singh stated that he then



rushed to a village near Sector 104 and requested a resident to lend him a phone so that he could make a call. The victim's friend reached the spot and called the police. The police team has launched an investigation into the incident to nab the accused.

Singh also said that his BMW costs around Rs 30 lakh. He also noted in his complaint to the police that they also took his two Oppo mobile phones, which were inside the car.

While reacting to the robbery incident, the victim said, "Thankful to the Almighty that I was not killed".

According to the police team, efforts are being made to trace the accused.

While commenting on the probe, Additional DCP (Noida) Ranvijay Singh said, "CCTV cameras installed in nearby buildings were scanned and the luxury car was spotted near Sector 62,".

Further investigation is underway in this case to nab the accused. Earlier, several other incidents of armed street crimes involving carjackers had reported from Noida.
