3.3 kgs of gold seized at Rajiv Gandhi airport

Hyderabad:  A passenger travelling from Dubai was held by Customs Officers for illegally bringing  3.3 kgs of Gold at Shamshabad Airport. The gold was brought illegally in powder form by hiding it in the shoe. The gold was seized by the authorities as part of the Shamshabad airport passenger checks.

The officials,



while checking the passenger luggage, found the gold. The passenger has been taken into custody and investigation is on.

Shamshabad has till now recorded the highest amount of smuggled gold, caught by customs officials. The gold smuggling activity is continuing, even after taking strict action.
