21-year-old woman commits suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old woman died, allegedly after consuming some pills, at Falaknuma here on Monday. She is suspected to have ended her life due to harassment by her husband.

According to police, Anees Fatima, 21, a resident of Nawab Sahab Kunta lived along with her husband Shahbaz Khan. The couple got married 13 months ago.

Her family members told the police that



Shahbaz had picked up a quarrel and beat Fatima following which she consumed some pills. Her parents took her to a private hospital and later to Osmania General Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment on Monday morning.

The Falaknuma police have registered a case under Section 306 and 498 A against Shahbaz and are investigating.
