16-year old was raped by two youth in Hyderabad

A 16-year-old girl is battling for life at Osmania General Hospital after an auto driver and his friend raped her and forced her to consume pesticides,

The  incident was reported from Satamrai near Shamshabad while the other incident was reported from Bollarum in the twin police commissionerate limits.

Police said that the teenage girl was kidnapped by auto driver Jangaiah and his friend near her house Rajiv Gruhakalpa and gang raped. Later, the accused forced her to consume pesticides. The girl was rushed to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) for treatment and her condition is stated to be critical.

According to police, Jangaiah, who supplies



drinking water cans to residents in an auto trolley, forcibly pushed the girl into the auto at Rajiv Gruhakalpa and drove away. The girl’s father lodged a complaint with the RGIA police on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, some shepherds saw the girl lying in an unconscious state and a boy lying next to her in a drunken state and informed the police. 

The police rushed to the spot and shifted the girl to the OGH for treatment and took into custody the boy, who is the friend of auto driver Jangaiah. A search is on for Jangaiah.

A case has been registered by the RGIA police under The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012.
